About the Author Often called the father of science fiction, British author Herbert George (H. G.) Wells literary works are notable for being some of the first titles of the science fiction genre, and include such famed titles as The Time Machine, The War of the Worlds, The Island of Doctor Moreau, and The Invisible Man. Despite being fixedly associated with science fiction, Wells wrote extensively in other genres and on many subjects, including history, society and politics, and was heavily influenced by Darwinism. His first book, Anticipations of the Reaction of Mechanical and Scientific Progress Upon Human Life and Thought, offered predictions about what technology and society would look like in the year 2000, many of which have proven accurate. Wells went on to pen over fifty novels, numerous non-fiction books, and dozens of short stories. His legacy has had an overwhelming influence on science fiction, popular culture, and even on technological and scientific innovation. Wells died in 1946 at the age of 79.Andrew Moore is a Bible Code researcher and mathematician who has studied the subject for over 30 years. His studies of the "Divine Mathematician" continue at his home in Lakewood, New York.

Wells, this book is a wonderful introduction to his work. The stories are timeless, and after reading this collection, I highly recommend you read his entire body of work. It's all wonderful stuff.

If you start in on this, first take 5 minutes to put your brain in 1898. The world thought light travelled in ether. Electricity? Not quite. Most everyone thought little men lived on Mars. Etcetera. If you put your brain in 1898, this is very interesting and entertaining. Dude knew how to write a story. It isn't light sabers and space cruisers. it is fiction related to science. This is why you get to watch light sabers on your smartphone. Some might argue this is why you have a smartphone. Enjoy thinking about what H.G. Wells would think about you reading this on a Kindle when the book was placed there through the air.
