About the Author Rick Rickert grew up in Appleton, Wisconsin and moved to Arizona in1987. Up until 1998, he worked in Corporate America for the Fortune 500 Company, Insight Enterprises (Insight.com). Insight is a leading technology provider of hardware, software and service solutions to business and government. When Rick started with Insight it was a small family business. It became an international company that went public in 1995. He made a small fortune on the stock he accumulated while he worked at Insight. Mr. Rickert had an entrepreneurial calling and ultimately wanted to invest in his own business. He met some real estate investors and was intrigued with their business model. With growing excitement he read every book he could find and attended seminar after seminar. He began attending daily auctions in Phoenix, watching and learning everything he could soak up. Interestingly, the authors and seminar speakers only taught theory. They had never actually purchased properties at public auction. Undeterred, Rick jumped into the game and made $17,500 on his first fix and flip deal. He was hooked! And as they say, the rest is history. Since 1998 Rickert has personally purchased over 200 properties at auction and still invests in properties bought at auction every month. His company has assisted others in purchasing over 3,000 properties valued at over 450 million dollars. As his business grew, he realized that there was only so much he could do by himself. He began creating and developing systems that sifted and sorted the best deals from the auction listings and hired people to do the actual bidding for him. At the auctions other investors took notice of Rick and began requesting that he bid on their behalf. That led to the development of the proprietary software, INFOclosure.com. Rick Rickert currently owns several companies in the real estate industry. Boufford Rick Rickert has written an easy to read and understand book that is a must if you are interested in Real Estate Investing or purchasing a home of your own at a discount. I sure wish this book had been around BEFORE I invested thousands in my Real Estate education - his twenty dollar book provide clear, concise steps for me to follow and gave me 1,000X value on the cost of this book. Read this book before you spend a dime on a Real estate course! - You can tell Rick has written what he knows and he is an expert - read this book - study it and then put it into action.

I have actually had the pleasure of watching Rick teach live and I can tell you that this book adds even more detail. If you think real estate investing is your thing....or that it should be...getting this book is well worth the investment you give Amazon for the privilege of reading it! There are some minor formatting issues but don't let that stop you from learning from a master at their craft. After all Rick is a professional real estate investor not an author.
