It is gigantic (400 pp.) and jam-packed with fine reproductions of his paintings, as well as some paintings from his fellow Orientalists. At under fifty bucks, it's a tremendous bargain.Benjamin-Constant was one of J. C. Leyendecker's two most important instructors at Paris' Academie Julien (the other was Jean Paul Laurens) at the turn of the century. If you look at Benjamin-Constant's work you can see the profound influence he had on Lyendecker. Benjamin-Constant was also one of the first Orientalists, accompanying that genre's founding father, Mariano Fortuny, on his trips through the Middle East.I doubt if there will ever be a finer book on Benjamin-Constant. The author, Nathalie Bondil, The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and the publisher, Editions Hazan, are to be commended.

As and artist with an interest in art history as well, I found the illustrations excellent and very worthwhile for closer study of this artist's work. An excellent addition to one's permanent collection.

He definitely brings interviews and tips each week to his show. This book is a great read for anyone who is new to podcasting, and is thinking about getting started. You'll find the case studies inspiring, especially the stories of people he's interviewed over the years. My favorite is the story of Gregory Ng, aka the Frozen Food Master. Very inspiring story of zeroing in on an untapped niche market and dominating it.

Not full of a lot of fluff, or bloviating. The book was a short read, but clear and easy understand. I love the ideas on using video to grow your business. Ken Boyd’s example is really good. I love doing those kind of video presentations.

An Uncluttered Approach to Starting an Online Business By Amazon Customer This book is very basic in its approach... but that doesn't make it unhelpful in the least. The truth is, you can do more with the basics than you can with advanced material unless you already have years of experience under your belt. This book will help you organize your thought process if you're caught in "what to do next" mode. It also contains some excellent examples of people who are making a good living by basically doing their own thing and having fun with it. There are so many books about marketing and making money online today that it's easy to get bogged down by endless details and options. This book will help you focus on the activities that really matter in the big picture. From there, your own personal experience and results will help you make the necessary adjustments with your audience.

A Timing Consideration When You Become Your Own Boss By NICOLE CLEMONS Since I too am just getting off the ground with my own small business, this book was exactly what I needed. Let's Do This by AJ Johnston, clearly lays out in which the order you should take rather than just jumping and risking it all. I think one of the most valuable things I found in this book was that it also acted as a workbook and I learn so much more effectively when I write things down. Not to mention, now I have my own inspiring words to look back on. I highly recommend this book to anyone either thinking about or just starting their own entrepreneur journey.

AJ Johnston uses her personal experience to paint a great picture of success. She exposes anxieties, hesitations, and talks about when it's simply time to take the plunge. There are great principles to take from this book, even if you're not an entrepreneur. Her budgeting outline is awesome and her instruction on efficiency is something you can take to your job, home life, and any area that requires planning. I'll be using the book to coach my staff.

About the Author Fashion historian Jeromine Savignon is the author of Cacharel Le Liberty (Assouline) and L'Esprit Vionnet (Universite de la Mode).Fashion historian Jeromine Savignon is the author of Cacharel Le Liberty (Assouline) and L'Esprit Vionnet (Universite de la Mode).Saint Laurent was born in Oran, Algeria. He left home at the age of 17 to work for designer, Christian Dior. He was put in charge of the effort of saving the Dior house from financial ruin after Christian Dior's death in 1957. He then served in the French army. After being hazed by fellow soldiers, he left after 20 days. He then suffered a nervous breakdown and was institutionalized. In 1962, he was released, and he and his partner, Pierre Berge started their own fashion house. He retired in 2002 and became reclusive. He died on June 1, 2008 from the effects of brain cancer.

About the Author Philip K. Dick (1928-1982) was an American science-fiction novelist, short-story writer and essayist. A contemporary of Ursula K. Le Guin, Dick's first short story, "Beyond Lies the Wub," was published shortly after his high-school graduation. Many of Dick's works drew upon his personal experiences with drug abuse, addressing topics such as paranoia and schizophrenia, transcendental experiences and alternate reality, and the childhood death of his twin sister is reflected through the recurring theme of the "phantom twin" in many of his novels. Despite ongoing financial troubles and issues with the IRS, Dick had a prolific writing career, winning both the Hugo Award and the Nebula Award multiple times. Some of his most famous novels and stories--A Scanner Darkly, "The Minority Report," "Paycheck," and Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? (adapted into the film Blade Runner)--have been adapted for film. Dick died in 1982.

This short story is typical of his work, well-rendered as the movie "screamers". Note his building suspense once humanoid swords began to appear. Note the irony of robots killing other robots. Note the fatalism behind humans failing to stop the evolution of these monstrous machines. A.I. and robotics at their worst in a pre-Terminator universe.

The frightening premise of single minded robots whose only purpose is killing humans and cannot be reasoned with is truly terrifying. Add in the fact that they are infiltrating you in nefarious ways and you have the frightening prospect of the future of warfare. Also, this short has a fresh perspective on a dystopian future world, and it's brutally grim. Extremely well done. Highly recommended.
