2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. It's respectable to believe in a fifth planet out past mars By SGL What appeared to be a space craft crashed in Antarctica. ( Not sure why it's always Antarctica bit there you have it ) The crash was witnessed by an American meteor tracking station who went to investigate. They found the craft along with four survivors. These appeared as human children. All near 12 or 13 and dressed for sunny climes. surrounding the site was a calm still warm air bubble created from advanced technology. Attempts to communicate where made to know avail. Unfortunately a mishap occurred destroying there communication system. Was this really a mishap or intentional? Running out of time the children are whisked away to a secret base in America. The International community is appalled and afraid, it has leaked that these children are telepathic! And although not real aliens but displaced in time just prior to a cataclysmic event. Sent ahead to report back. They came from a time when a planet between Mars and Jupiter, which came apart throwing vast quantities of materials at the Earth and it's moon. Most of the world fear or hate these children because of there abilities or perceived abilities and thoughts of battle cruisers surrounding Earth!Interesting well written story.

Characters were so real, human and and familiar. Always just enough there to make them real. Not too many scientific details to detract from the tale about people getting by facing a possible near-future situation. Another beautiful human thought trip from one of the great science fiction authors of the 20th century. It will charm readers 100 years from now.Jmattv
