Solid book: great explanation as to why and HOW you can raise your prices By Kevin Kruse Most consultants and freelancers can dramatically increase their revenue NOT by adding new products, NOT by adding more clients, but just by increasing their prices. In, The Road to High Income, Carlos Castillo accurately points out that “Your price makes a statement about your credibility.” My most recent company--which won Inc 500 awards for fast growth and was eventually sold in a multimillion dollar deal—was from the start, a premium price company. It’s the only way to attract the right clients and earn enough to invest in the future, and to have a life.Castillo does a comprehensive job of explaining how you can charge higher prices. He explains- the 6 factors that control how much you can charge- the Big 5 buying triggers- how to identify your high profit nicheUnlike other books that cover similar ground, Castillo doesn’t come off as a sleazy internet marketer trying to extract every last dime. I particularly liked the 'quick win' chapter that shows exactly how someone put Carlos's ideas into practice. This showed me that Carlos really know's what he's talking about.I love this quote from the chapter about negotiating as a freelancer, "the number one mistake we make when we know we are undercharging is thinking it’s not worth the time." I couldn't have said it better myself!

Finally a guide to help the independent contractor charge what we are worth AND retain our customer base! Carlos' writing is clear and detailed so that you understand each concept before moving on to the next. I would highly recommend it to any freelancer or independent contractor.
