Eventually I quit, thinking that I was just not cut out for the job. If only I’d had this book! Janeen Latini's guide to being a leader - not just a manager - provides easy-to-implement concepts that anyone can use to increase their effectiveness as well as sense of fulfillment in the corporate world. However, it does more than that - because it really applies to anyone that needs to take a leadership role in their own life, as a parent, spouse, entrepeneur, coach, these principles will work for everyone.

Miller Love to Lead, Lead to Love is a fascinating read on leadership in the corporate setting, but these insights easily lend themselves to leading yourself in your life and business. I especially loved the way Janeen teaches the the concepts from the perspective of totems: The turtle, dragon, anchor, butterfly and dove. Entertaining and down to earth, this book is a must read not only for middle managers, but anyone who wants to lead!

McRobbie Janeen uses a combination of compassion and tough love to describe the plight of the middle manager. What's interesting is the premise that we are all middle managers, in some sense, in some way. As a result, the concrete guidance in this book will benefit anyone - regardless of where you are in your life or where you stand in your company. There really is a better way and we can be having more happy days than we are now.
